An old favourite of the potters is gurnards, only chance you have getting them is asking guys off the trawlers, failing that codheads are effective. If you are going to use mackerel its best to use bait pots inside you POT and mush them up a bit to let the oils out.

couple of whole huge cod if Deadliest Catch is owt to go by

leave your mackeral in black bag in the sun for a couple of days first. Tends to put the crabs off a bit but lobsters prefer it in my experience

Pulled my first size lobster in today in the two pots i put out, loads of smaller crabs but put them back.

Mind it takes some doing pulling them in, even with the Arvor having the stainless rope/pot rail rollers for helpping you lol

There was a lad down the ratty he was just using days old fish it was mostly whiting
