me and my mate went for a day session today.
turned out to be the best session i have had for a long time.
i ended up with over 15lb of fish, i lost a few bigger fish as did my mate. excellent day.

5lb pollack
4lb pollack
2 3lb fresh run cod
and a load of smaller size cod and pollack

the cod fell to bait at long distance, the pollack nailed a spinner.
had any amount of small coalies, all of the fish that were kept were full of small coalies.

enjoy the pics ;D

bring on the winter season lol

Nice bag there mate - were you at Eyemouth? (only a guess looking at the rocks). Don't know about the trainer taking the spinner - I'd have guessed float-fished ragworm myself! :D

Gary :)

all of the pollack where taken on spinners, had a few coalies on float fished sandeel, the codling were taken on crab.
i had to keep the spinner low and bounce it off the kelp, they just nailed the spinner. nearly lost them in the kelp close in a few times, the smaller of the big ones managed to bend the snap link i had on, it was open when my mate landed the fish!

we tried to target wrasse as well, but we were kept busy with the pollack, we lost some really big fish :(
my mate lost a monster pollack and i had something really big on my enigma nrg 2000 (never bent and nodded like that before, it like a broom shank! lol) i couldnt do anything with it, then it hung me up in the kelp :(

it went mental for 30 - 45 mins then the pollack stopped taking in that spot.
the trainer wasnt hungry that day lol, ideal summer rock hoping shoes, being neoprene it dont matter if they get wet ;D

the mark was shown to me by a top north east angler and i was sworn to keep it a secret before he took me there many moons ago lol
it is north of the border around eyemouth area.

That's some fish there mate, well done. Being new this fishing malarki I've learnt another useful tip..... sticking your trainer next to them to keep te flies off. I love this site :p

cheers lads.

the exact location is a secret, the area is around eyemouth ;D its in the small print above lol

haha, the flies love the trainers :D
