Have noticed when i've fish craster that you can get on the big skeer at low water, whats it like for fishing ? if 'm up that way is it worth a shot or should i just stick to the usual gullys

phil is that the skeer infront of the pub, if so its meant to be a canny shot but be careful you dont get cut off and if you do have an inflatable dingy with you. seriously though leave yourself plenty of time to get off. i would only fish it on a big tide when the sea is calm or smooth

cheers

are you talking about the south island mate.if so its heavy ground and dont fish the front on a sea,the two corners are best with the north corner casting into deeper water/ like mark say watch the tide behind you as the pools beside the island fill up fast and get deep;)
