well had a look at the water this morning and looked ideal so i launched my boat down at north hylton at 8am me and sinky1984 decided we was going to take a slow ride out about 5 miles south of sunderland i just got round the first turn in the river {next to the alexandra bridge) and could here a few shouts coming from the bank my mate sinky said they were trying to call me over when i had a proper look i could see alot of police/ambulance and firemen standing up on the top and directly below them i could see a woman that looked like she was dangling down the side with 1 foot in the water holding onto a chain for dear life so i promptly turned the boat along side her and my mate grabed a hold of the woman and draged her onto my boat she was shaking like crazy and soaking wet she then said i cant belive im still alive so my mate grabed a few blankets/jackets and wrapped her up we then waited for the RNLI to turn up which they did very fast and they helped us guide the boat to a safe place for the ambulance to take her away we got thanked many times from all services and we then left still in shock to do some fishing after our good deed we steamed out around 6 miles and did around 4 diffrent wrecks wich resuted in 2 massive bleggys/pountin around 1 and half pound we then tried inshore but still no luck and tried every bait available {apart from crab} but it was like there was no fish in the sea lol all in all a day i will never forget even though the fishing was dire i just want to say well done to sinky1984 you did well today mate under pressure and kept a cool head

The things we get up to when we are supposed to be fishing :D I can just imagine ...."Did you catch anything?" .... Oh!...... just a lady hanging from a chain dangling in the water! ....... Nah! no one would believe me.
That's going to be a story you'll be telling for the rest of your lives .
Well done on keeping cool heads and rescuig the damsel in distress ;)
As for the fishing , I was out for a few hours Thursday evening and it was the same story , the sea seemed devoid of any fish at all , the water looked kind of murky mind compared to last Friday and Saturday when there were a few fish about and willing to bite , plenty time yet though.

Well done on the rescue again.
