cresswell today 19.10.2003

hi leroy

i was fishing south end of the private beach opposite the caravan park, seal rocks i believe the mark is known by.
lots of ground to fish up there, all good cod territory, beach, shingle, kelp beds and generally good fishing ground.

good luck

Leroy like many venues on our coastline its always better if there has been any onshore wind blowing NE, E, SE, N and NW all get the sea going.
be carefull when fishing the rocky outcrops, as sometimes the tide can come behind you, especially in the dark and your interested when the fish are biting. but if your sensible and take care you will be fine.
if you fish the cresswell cars, large rocks at south end of cresswell beach, the tida comes in behind you here, and the water gets deep, believe me. fishes better during darkness, bot lots of comps have been won durng day sessions from this area. usually any movement in the sea can produce fish here, lug, razor, mussel best here.
various casts to locate fish as there are gullies out from the rocks, sometimes they are in there and sometimes they lie further out, you have to give all distances a go. the ground isnt too heavy here, so enjoy your trip and happy landings
