Hello lads,

Headded to the south end of cullercoats harbour last night in hope of some coddies with a tad sea on. No luck with those but i did land a cracking fish, I think its a rays bream... I could be mistaken but damn do they scrap well :) Was caught on a 2/0 hook using rag tipped with squid strips.

Good one mate; I've still never come across a live one, seen plenty dead. Very tasty fish apparently, as are most bream.

Cheers, Gary :)

This one was returned to fight another day :) as I say was one of those moments where the fish comes to the surface and I was like wtf is that? Didn't know if it had spines or anything, so it was in with the boga, canny set of nashers they have aswell, but if anyone does hook one you know about it, they fight so well :)

Ugly Critters aint they! I had one of them in my hands (if not on my line) on saturday night and didn't know what it was until i posted on here!

Well done mate!

The hoodies must attract them :hallucine:
