had a run down to cullernose to use up the last of my winter bait.black lug bluey and squid Friday morning bit breezy but sunny and sea was flat not a bite. that's me till September with hopefully a freezer full of peelers again:

I was out Sunday on the North Gare and the sea was flat with the wind howling. I pulled in a small codling that I didnt know was on but I didnt detect any bites over 5 hrs.

I had a prtty good start to the season before the usual lull after Christmas. There's still a few dozen peelers in the freezer which will last until spring.
