cullernose/surrounding areas advice please

Fish Dunstanbourough castle last Friday, span for mackeral 8 in total and 1 codling with heavy gear, fished 2 weeks ago at cullernose spinning .blanked

is it a bit of a slog to get to cullernose where's best place to park up?.

Driving north just past the doctors hoose there's a bit of a layby on the left side of the road where there's an entrance on the right to the coastal walk, closest place to park that I know of mate.

best place is to go into craster park your car up by the park drive up past the kipper house follow road round ,park sensibly and your car is safe the other way you,ve got opportunists who will break into or damage car just out of spite

fished cullernose last year with my mate was foggy in the morning and had a couple of undersized codling and a Dogfish. the the sun came out it was red hot, then we had loads a coalies on the the bottom.

We also float fished and had lots of small coalies very close into the side.

Best advise i can give is fish to the right of the point and keep lengthening your dropper and keep close to the side if theres coalies there you will get them.

When fishing Dunstanburgh Castle I've always parked in Craster in front of the houses facing the harbour or were the pots are stored,if your there early enough there's always a space to get parked. Its a most enjoyable walk to the castle.
Parking at Embelton Golf course is the more safe option rather than Dunstan Steads, but I don't find it any easy or shorter distance to walk. Dunstan Steads drove there once and the amount of broken car glass was enough for me to turn around and head for Craster
Fishing Cullernose Point I've always parked in the lay-by next to the public footpath sign and emergency telephone this in my opinion is the shorter of the to routes, the other being as already stated parking in Craster driving past Robinsons Kippers and The Jolly Fisherman and the play area. The Bonus of this is on route to Cullernose Point there's marks you can try on the way.
