While on my lunch break today i was sat thinking about fishing as usual . I was messing about with a 15mm Ring Spanner when BINGO, i had a brilliant idea , I will put a split ring on either end, add a treble hook, and i bet i could catch a fish on a spanner

So i'm going to give it a go, if any of you like minded nutters are willing to give it a go, make something up, the dafter the better, catch a fish on it and post it on here......are you up for it...

i managed to get myself a quite a few wheely bin axels,cut them up and they worked fine

your not nuts. I remeber when i started boat fishing in the 80's we used to use the chrome door handles of older makes of cars. Hole drilled in each end split ring added each end with a treble and away you go.

Will have to put some thought into what could be used.
