As Si has already mentioned we're keen to put some dates forward to meet up and share ideas on lure fishing. So what i'm looking for is some sugestions of what time of year is best for what species, fresh and salt water, and what tactics might work best and maybe an idea of where to fish.

For example,

June - September
Pollock and Wrasse
The Borders
Spinning and Jelly Worms

Hopfully we'll be able to sort somthing for most months.

A starter for 12!

Is there any freshwater fishing in the early part of the year ?

Yes, but it`s hard going with lures this far North through the Winter months. It`s always worth a look if conditions are ok, but for organising days to give people the best chance of catching, best wait until late Spring at least.

Chaps,
I'm not going to be able to make many of these dates, as I'm down souf.. but I will be up 29 March-5 april if a meet has potential during that period, I would be happy :)

Cheers
