That picture looks even scarier Tala mate.
Everyone to his own though buddy,If the fishings good then it must be worth a little Ar*e twitching....lol

Pretty easy to get wet at the ramp that leads onto Cowbar as well (did a bit of light wading the other year while fishing it). It\'s not a cut off point quite like the others though.

The image below is off my website and gives an arial view of the cut offs.
Feel free to copy it to your machines for personal use but please don\'t add it to any other websites.

That is spot on that Mike ;) , the only things missing are the clifftop fishing positions of which there are a couple, these too are not for the faint hearted as I found out to my horror earlier this year.
Fishing the nearest mark to Cowbar village at night, 300ft up at the edge of the vertical cliff and got my feet wrapped up in someones discarded fishing line  , luckly I fell sideway and not forwards.
Now that did make my @rse twitch. :( :( :D
I always take a good look around for discarded crap before setting up now.

This picture shows the access path to one of the best fishing marks on the north yorkshire coast.(Bouldy)
This shot is taken half way down the cliff after climbing down a firemans hose.

this is just slightly late but what the hell.
here\'s a picture of boiler hole.
boilerhole.jpg

boiler hole is about 3/4 of the way round from Staithes to Boulby.
Easier to get to round the bottom, just watch out for the deep gullies on your way round.
you can park in boulby itself and walk to the right along the top to find the ropes.
BUT PLEASE DONT GO WITHOUT SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN BEFORE!!!
You can actually see the boiler in the bottom right of the picture, you can chuck in to the hole to the left or chuck right its all a matter of personal choice.
If you can be bothered you can have a look in daylight from the cliff top, just park in the carpark and walk to another of the good fishing marks along there, the white post (I hope im not giving too much away or i will get hung be the local lads).Look down at low water and you will see the boiler.
here\'s a picture of the post shot.
whitepost.jpg

If you want to fish the post make sure you have a big reel in the 7000 range and a stiff rod to match,I use a highlander and a grand prix together with slosh 30 and 535mag. Oh and make sure you are feeling fit cause cranking up even a 4lber can really take it out of you.
I think I have more photo\'s of some of the better marks around there, I will try and dig them out if anybody is interested.

looking at the climb down put me off never mind the climb back up tala . you must be fcuking mental lol but us fishermen are lol , done dodgy things before to fish marks but not now. lifes more important than a fish :casstet: :casstet:

having read all the comments posted about the ropes at boulby and wasting RNLI money how much money has been wasted when people who call themselves fisherman have climbed over the fences to fish tynemouth pier once the gates have been closed.
I bet the bill for the two lads last year alone was a couple of grand.

i think it looks great ! just my sort of mark , would love to climb up and down ! even if just for the sheer hell of it ! :P thats what winter cod fishings all about in my eyes . much better than a boring walk along a long pier.

Cliff top marks always look tempting but I\'d be tempting fate with how accident prone I can be. Very good at creating a disaster from a normal situation! ;)

I wouldn\'t do it.
But then again i have riden motorcycles for 30 years and people still say i ride way to fast.
Its knowing what you are capable of and a little bit of common. ;)
