a suggestion mark ...... how about we have an easter fishing derby, Tony and I will endeavour to make enough lures to give everyone (free of course ) in team colours mags or macks and (if we can make enough) 5 each like penalty kicks,
if you post a picture of a size codling on the result thread with your team lure in its mouth you get a goal ...... then we count up .....
only rule is, any boat entry MUST have at least one MAG and one MACK on board (to stop futile cheating )
Of course we can still hold traditional best fish etc on any bait or lure in the same comp but I think the fishing derby bit may be a bit of fun

best time for the football lures will be easter(ish) hard ground fishing for the spring run of codling ......
