Remember a little while ago, there was a post made about either a 2 or 3 pronged device used for hauling large fish up walls?
It attached to your line and it slid down to the fish - pulling on the attached cord, secured the hooks into the fish, which was then pulled up the wall using the cord.

Anybody got any links to any sites which show the device?

That\'s the one, Rambo79 :D

I did a quick Goole search on \"pier gaffs\" and came accross it eventually. Thanks for the info about probably not avaiable over here........One of the lads I work with mentioned that he\'d heard of such a device and was after getting one.

I saw a collapsable drop net in sea angler last month which folded really small and I don\'t believe it was very expensive.

got a drop net off e-bay for £7 plus postage

i e-mailed the company that does that gaff thing its about 70 quid including the postage :o

it was myself that posted the original link to campbells pro tackle and the cliff gaff. if you click on the link rambo supplied there is a good picture of it.print it off and any body that works with stainless would be able to knock one out for a reasonable price.

I thought it was you Gordon, but didn\'t like to say - just incase it wasn\'t.

Dunno where my workmate heard about it, but I think he\'s under the impression that they are quite cheap to buy..........he\'s gonna get a bit of a shock when I tell him otherwise. (Or.......he may have heard of somewhere where he can get a similar device, cheaper).
