Glen, I've got a PDF version of the manual for a 4108 if it's any use to you. A friend of a lad at work has that engine in his boat & i know he had bother getting hold of a replacement starter motor. I think they were fitted in really early transits.

What's the name of the boat you've been offered?

The Boys doesn't go much faster than 7 knots and is canny in a roughish sea.

Ah right, just the lad I mentioned has been ill, just wondered if he had decided to sell up and we were talking about the same boat.

went to see it yesterday left him deposit seemed canny bloke , paying himm in full friday ,he also trying to sort mooring for me as its half bat compaired to rq where ive got mine, think its a colvic but not sure , do you know the boat

I don't mate.

By the way that place up from south Shields boat club I mentioned last time is £10 per week if you'd rather been on the Tyne.

wouldn't worry about the 7 knots bit... Its a full displacement hull, so will be solid as a rock. you'll still be doing 7 knots when the planing boats are coming back in doing 4. Main think I'd look at is a new jabsco impellor in the water pump if its not been done recently

I know the boat, looks quite canny. my last boat was moored in sunderland. Only thing I'd say is that yes its cheaper there, but leave nowt on the boat. The security is hopeless

looks like a colvic seaworker which are built like a brick outhouse and a good seaboat, if the hulls 1981 to 1984 there's a good chance I might of laid it up! Used to work in a boat yard that made Colvic Northerners and Seaworkers

Hello Lads,
Well its been some 18yrs since i posted the message attached ! and i think i kept the boat for around 2yrs . Life took its toll back then what with the recession and as a bricklayer , the game died and unfortunately the nice haves had to be let go.

I've always kept a keen eye on whats happing with the north east boating lads through the years and with Mikes help, Im back online.

I always knew I would get another boat someday and feeling a bit of a learner again, Ive just picked up a little Hardy 18 Navigator , hopefully its not too long until im back in the swing of things .

I will be moored at Willington Quay so be hoping to see some of you lads out there soon . The boat i had back then was Kingfisher and moored at Royal Quays , Slinky Kate was a good neighbour then 😉, great to be back lads catch reports will be along soon 👍
