Diver rescued at Beadnell

Fished Beadnell today, with Gman. as he left I went for a p*** behind a wall on the cliff field, heard cries of help, and ran over to the north side , saw someone waving about 150yds out, heard the Maroons, and waited. Christ fellas Its an awful feeling watching someone drown. The sea was huge, as the inflatable came in he stopped as he couldnt see the guy for waves. so I climbed on the fence and sort of waved them to the right direction, as they were on line with him I stuck me arms straight up and hoped theyd get the message. they did, and came through the waves and dragged him out.
glad hes alive, but he wants his arse hoofed for diving in a sea like that.
my guts were churning, I really thought he had nee chance.

and we blanked. :casstet:

Paul has asked me to post the pic of the sea state that the lucky diver(ars*) was out for a little swim about in.

Lucky you were there...They dont give a second thought to the other peoples lives they put at risk when they go out there when the sea is running

Funny thing that, divers out in rough seas.

I was at Eyemouth today and there was a group of divers trying to get their boat retrieved from the sea when their Discovery got bogged down. I thought I would lend a hand as I could have pulled it out up the concrete slip. A few problems arose though. They had the Discovery stuck, the trailer stuck, the boat was broken down on the trailer, not enough rope to reach the slip, a 10\' swell and a flooding tide.
End result.. Lifeboat called to tow boat away from surf pounding on breakwater, Six members of the coast guard called to attend, two police officers, one tractor and one recovery vehicle. As for the discovery....Two hours later all that was left was a chassis with four wheels. The action of the waves pounding the car against the breakwater systematicly removed all the hinged panels then tore the bodyshell from the Chassis.

Thankfull no loss of life but why were they out in the first place?

you know the reason for that one neil.... most rubber johnnies are a bunch of brainless yah-yah\'s, thats why so many of them die, no respect or knowledge of the sea.

generally a bunch of t@ts

I think it was a dark blue colour Gogs but a wee bit unsure as the waves were crashing over the top of it. To be honest I was more interested in the boat with the 140hp Yam hanging off the back. i think the reg was H20 something or other.
Oh I did notice the driver had dark brown stripes in the arse of his wet suit. :D

There was a small boat capsized in the mouth of the Aln last nite. Both Amble lifeboats were there but the Sea king form Boulmer winched the guy to safety. landed on the footie pitch at Alnmouth where he/she was taken away by ambulance. The helicopter seemed to be scouting around for ages looking for a body and I tell you when you are there watching it, it\'s a terrifying feeling thinking that someone is drowning and you are powerless to help. Fortunately all seemes to have turned out well!
