does nesa hold comps

Yes NESA holds both shore and boat comps raising money for the RNLI ,I\'ve missed out so far due to work committments but hope to get involved at the next opportunity.

Yep, we sure do, Craigyboy.
As a result of the comps we\'ve held so far, we\'ve raised £5,000 for the rnli, both locally and nationally. (take a look in \"Past Fund Raising Events\" in the RNLI section).

Keep ya eyes peeled for details of a possible boat fishing comp in the next couple of months.........also maybe something in the offing during the Summer some time.

Are the boat comps using charter boats or are they using the angler\'s (mates?) own boats?

If its using charter boats, I think we might be interested in bringing some lads up from Yorkshire for a go.

Fred,
The skippers of the Tyne based charter boats Mistress, Tallisman, Spellbinder and Sarah JFK have always offered the use of their respective boats for the NESA RNLI comps.
Without their support, the comps wouldn\'t (couldn\'t) be as well attended as they always are.

Cheers Fred.......BUT......I\'d hang on a wee while....well a couple of days anyway. The gang who usually organise the comp are having a meeting tomorrow night to decide \"if, when & where\" this years comp might be.
