Hi all,

Just moved to Wardley after living up in the sticks at Consett. :o Even Wardley is civilisation compared to up there.

Anyway, been looking on here for places to fish, done hebburn marina, always find tide too strong even with 6oz grippers. Fished Customs House / Mill Dam and Church Bank.

Best so far was Customs House 4 Whiting, 2 Colies and a Dab (all sized). Middle 3 hours of the ebb.

Church Bank 2 Whiting

Hebburn Marina - always blanked

Using black, rag, crab, squid, lug and macky. Best place I have found so far for bait is Reelsport, nice bloke too....

Looking for other places to fish or to tag along with lads fishing to get some local knowledge of marks etc etc. Was even thinking of joining a club.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks - Ross

welcome to the site bonny lad, you have loads of rock, beach and pier marks within a few miles of you at wardley, even river marks. Not sure which type of fishing you are into, clean, heavy or mixed. A canny little club for you to join would be the cleadon club or south shields club, unless you want to go further afield (northumberland way, bedlington. amble etc etc)

by the way, welcome to the site

Check out the link at the bottom of my post, plenty of marks oh there, also get your name down for the North v South match there'll be plenty of people there who know the marks and will point you in the right direction, failing that you can tag along with me.
