
RULES
1/ League to be fished on a measure and release basis in the regions rivers
2/ Matches of a three hour duration will be pegged, with twenty places available split into two zones 1-10 & 11-20.
3/ Overall winner, angler with longest length at the end of the league
4/ Entry to league £10, plus £200 donated by Dove Marine Laboratory, paid out 40% 25% 15% longest length overall 20% longest fish overall, at end of league.
5/ Entry on day £10 paid out 40% 25% 15% longest length on day 20% longest fish on day in each zone
6/ In the event of a tie angler with most fish wins. If still tied winnings will be divided equally
7/ Anglers can win more than one prize i.e. longest aggregate length & longest fish
8/ Two hooks only, no beads, spoons, or attractors of any kind on any part of line
9/ Only one rod to be used, two spare baited traces can be ready for use but must not be attached to a rod.
10/ As these matches are for scientific studies all flounders count
11/ Anglers will draw for pegs at the venue
12/ All fish to be presented at measuring station as soon as caught where it will be recorded. Anglers are allowed to recast before presenting fish.
13/ If an angler is unable to fish a match because of holidays etc a substitute can be used
In addition to the overall cash prizes from entry fees, plus a donation of £200 from the Dove Marine laboratory. The top two anglers will also win an all expenses 2-3 day paid trip to fish a 3hour match in Europe. The rest of the time is yours.
