DRAG TROUBLE

I am now having trouble with my drag on me real.

after i washed it, i loosened the drag right off then tightened back up again.

NOW, when the drag is as tight as can be i can still ull some line off quite easy. :casstet: :casstet:

did you use soapy water?? there\'s probably some residue of detergent on the washers,

case of whip em out, clean em with lighter fluid/meths stick em back in

no i didnt use none of that just rinsed it under the warm tap to get the salty water off.

alan.........when i was spraying down the reel with wd40 i think some might have goe down the side of the star drag which my cause it to slide easy.......gonna get a little brush and see if there is any lube down there.

jonny id recommend leaving it alone ,take it to billys or temples or even ID and ask them to service it and set up the brakes and drag

Jonny, Im had a similar problem with my ABU 9000 last year. Flushed it out with lighter fluid and then carefully relubed what needed to be relubed. Never missed a beat since.

Best to get it looked at if you\'re not sure about stripping it down though mate.

Jonny \"if its not broken dont fix it\" I rinse mine,dry it and put it away.You might be over doing it with the WD 40 etc,take it to a tackle dealer for peace of mind probably cost you a fiver tops,try Billy if he\'s closest for you

fixed it now lads i leaved it in the airing cupboard for over a week and i can \"hardly\" pull no line off .
