Druridge Bay - 5/6/10

Fished my usual spot up near the boat yard at the north end of Druridge bay last night, 2 hours either side of high tide. Both of us were using rag and mackerel. My mate who was fishing about 20 feet from me and casting out the same distance got 11 flatties including a couple of canny sized keepers and a small coalie but I didnt get a single bite all night. Both of us were using rag and mackerel.

canny session there for ya mate he must been hitting into some sand bars sometimes pays to move further along the beach to try find the holes etc if ya struggling

Aye, I was pleased for him. There are loads of sand bars and gullies where we fish up there. After he went home I fished right where he had been but got nowt, even the crabs weren't nicking my bait!

Blyth Pier seems to be throwing up some decent Mackeral early morning now, I'm off work sick after a fortnight on leave and only got out once before yarking my back walking the dogs.
