only fish it over low water,im staying up there at aunties caravan for a few days so will take my gear with me,im wanting to fish first light when worr lass is still in bed but that will mean high water,is there anywhere worth a go over high tide

I regularly fish the bay and in my opinion best over high water but have had fish at low as well. caught lots of flatties and occasional bass and crabs!!!
Fished it last night but there was quite a sea running and it was just weed monsters all night. gave up about 11pm and came home. but happy hunting

fishes just as well high water as it does low. as long as you put in the leg work. best to walk the beach and look for the sand banks and channals as well as any holes that appear. things can change daily. good ideal to take your lass for a romantic walk along the beach at low water and earn some brownie points. good luck

High water marks mate, only known it to fish on the flood. My mate lives in cottage overlooking the beach and only ever fishes a flood. As mentioned, if you can find sandbars and gulleys there are loads of flounder dabs, occasional turbot and bass to be had. Also known to kick out codling and colies with a nice easterly running. Lovely place to fish

Private beach in front of golden sands caravan park is ok over highwater
fish the left end just before the pipe/concrete out flow
best on an evening hightide as getting dark
plenty of flatties to keep you busy and a few coalies if you cast near the edge of the rocks on the left hand side

Have fished the back of the carrs at cresswell on a night time high tide as well
want to be at the left hand end of the carrs
again plenty of flatties, a lot will be small
Dont try the pipe end behind the carrs, too many eel that will ruin your traces
