Never really got on with mine - found it unbalanced (tip-heavy) and a bit too long for my taste. Might suit some people but as an old-school reel-up type I found it quite tiring to use if casting & retrieving every 10-15 minutes - not so bad if chucking a donkey-choker big bait & leaving it for half an hour though! It did cope well with big leads 7/8oz or so & baits but going down for a bite felt like I was on the verge of falling over forwards! As others have said, a good rough ground stick if you can handle it.
best rod for hoying donkey chokers plus 7oz.
allows more control under heavy loads. heavy loads as in baits the size of bannanas plus a big lead.
I find the ttr and Excalibur tt more prone to errors with big big baits when thrashing the rod. these have quicker recoverys
