El Blanko at the Derwent reservoir.

Started at 10 am today lads. First stop Bay of plenty. One tug on the fritz.
Saw nothing else caught from two other anglers.
Moved to Cronkley for a couple of hours and again had only one tug on my lure. Tried three flies on the leader with a strong wind blowing them around-but again no luck.
Drove around the rese and had go on South shore from Hunter house right back to Pow Hill and again nee luck. Got to 6pm and arm and back and ankles aching by now so called it a day.................................Long time since I el-blanked......................and the lads were re-stocking.
Did not see very much caught at all--guys were blaming the heavy rain overnight.

Hard luck Mick, lot of effort went into that Blank m8. July & August worst months of the year for Trout fishing so i am told.

very unlucky mick mate, if ya saw no rises maybe you should have put on a couple of buzzers and a diawl back or nymph, on an intermediate line if it ws really blowy
