not a football fan by a long way, but thought the bits I saw on the news where disgraceful and why was that poor lad sent off for kicking a football away, hope he dosn't get banned or anything. From what I saw after the provocation they recieved it isn't a wonder they wheren't belting somebody, hope the powers that be ban those responsible.

were a very average team english football has not went with the times we have no chance of winning anything anymore its a shame as for the players reacting to the fans am not a racist but i think the players are to blame there paid enough to get on with there job the monkey chants that some countrys are doing has been there for years as have other chants such as who ait all the pies and so on. at the end of the day there pro footballers and should be profesional enough to ignore what opposition fans are chanting to put them off thats all it for nothing personal

Footballer's are just human beings, same as everyone else, they just get paid a lot more. No one should have to tolerate that kind of abuse, you couldn't pay me enough money to take abuse like that, no way.
Humorous banter is a far cry from directing monkey chants at black footballer's & saying that racism is ok because the victim is a professional footballer? complete load of rubbish that, racist rubbish at that.
The serbs should be suspended from international football, this isn't their 1st offence.

Of course you are free to voice your opinions in the chat section of an open forum, but I feel those opinions are deeply ignorant and lacking understanding of the situation. You are confusing taunts from the terraces with racist abuse.
Did you hear the monkey noises coming from the Serbian crowd?, there was real hatred in them, not ribbing. The noises are disparaging of an entire race, calling them animals and not fit to be human beings. This is wrong and should not be allowed to continue and the players ignoring it and keeping quiet is not the solution, although i fear that this is what Uefa/Fifa are hoping will happen.
Danny Rose handled himself in about a restrained manner as could be expected in that situation. All in all England did the right thing and carried on and won the match, good on them.
By your other posts Phil I take it you will be at the match at the weekend, do you think it would be ok to abuse the black players then? No.
The Tyne/Wear derby has one of the most fierce and hostile atmospheres in football, will there be racist abuse? No. It is wrong and what the Serb crowd did was wrong. They should be banned.
