Why do we bother getting our hopes up ?

Wish I could stop watching football but it just draws me back in

I feel sorry for all the lads and lasses who have spent there hard earned money to watch a bunch of over rated over payed tossers under perform

could harp on about tactics all day, fact is we are short of world class players
 
Well you know what lads, if you look at Sunderland's position half a dozen games before the end of the season...look at England's position now.
What looks the more unlikely?

You sound disapointed phil. Nobody expected them to win the cup, but they should be able to reach the quarters surely? Not this time. Mexico 86 was the best world cup I can remember and I can't see England ever being as good as that again. There were some good spells but sloppy defending when we equalised
 
Id rather them go out at the group stages than get humiliated even more in quarters like 4 years ago..Gerrard is over rated and made a balls up yet again..embarrasing

Agree mate, If Bains is our best left back I would prefer to pick Ashley cole till he is 100. Bains is shocking. Sterling is looking good as is Johnson and Cahill but that's about it.
 
is gerrad the best player in the country to be playing just in front of our central defenders I think not "it was embarrassing to watch well past his sell by date slow wayward passing and couldn't hit a barn door .on a brighter note when the young guns came on they did great so its not all doom and gloom get rid of the old dead wood get the young lads in just nicely for the euros . cahill was my man of the match
 
don't despair Italy will hammer both c rica and Uruguay and England will thrash c rica so we're through:D now then where have a put me pipe

Agree about Gerrard never rated him as world class!! I dont agree with the cahill remark though i think both central defenders are poor especially jagielka, A position we have always had good players in now them two are the best we have!! Surely we have better

A quote like that and I think you've been on the pipe,England as a team let you down time and time again we are absolute -hite.
