EU law's waste of time or for the better??

Because it will probably take about 3 years to do all the paperwork and have all the meetings etc. mate.

with you on this one, wonder how much damage will be done in the next 4-5 year with the catchers only taking the best quality fish and dumping the rest, might take a while to get the in board cctv sorted and who pays for it but still say it could be done immediately

Totally agree with everyone's comments and I think most of us all agree that its is about time the stupid practice of discards was totally outlawed. But once again as the vid shows the UK adhere to the politicians "agreement" in terms of policing our fleet whilst everybody else skates around it i.e the Spanish the French the Portuguese, uncle ton cobbly an all but their all happy to fish off shields pier and the rest of our shores

Do it now. Talk us cheap, action is what counts. Get it done, stop the messing around. Hugh FW should get the MBE for his constant fight.
Now that HFW is taking on the world, I would fear for his safety, he was in Ty land the other nights program looking into the "trash" fish for making prawn pellets feed, and there were some iffy looking characters you would not want to cross. You got to hand it to him though, he certainly goes for the jugular.
