Well been down the marina again today (bored) and always seem to run into the same Scotish trawler skipper when down there Langastine trawler "Sea Harvest" spoke to him ages last time regarding how crap 2012 was and regardless of what people say it was crap for everyone on the NE coast charters and private (Stingray only landed 14 doubles all year )...anyway we got talking again likie we did last time about the bloom, sea states, herring shaols and so on.

He was saying the water is still clean over 20miles out and the herring sprats have vanished, he also said the general feel and catches have be more like 2008-2011 and not like 2012...so with 11 weeks to go here is hoping it gets nice cold spell with a bunch of rough seas's followed by a nice April to get the season under way
