Six of us made the trip up north yesterday with the weather being spot on for the chance of some decent fishing up Eyemouth,
Arrived at first light after a stop off at Ronalds for breakfast, Steve was setting up his light gear as everyone was just stretching their legs, got down to our first mark and before we even got our gear sorted he was into a decent pollock on a jelly..

After seeing that everyone was feeling optimistic but only a few small coalie came out so we moved over to the cannons as the tide was on the move..

Tackle graveyard, snag a cast but few decent wrasse and a small kelpy..

Two of us decided to head for the island with it being low water for a chance of a bigger fish (£60 in the pot for heaviest fish !) I was still clambering over the rocks when my son started shouting he had something decent on the light gear and a seal was after it ! the reel was screaming as the seal came up with a nice 3.5lb pollock in his jaws, the fight was on but the savage gear held on and won...notice the bite marks !

Went pretty quiet, few knocks but nothing to show then my rod went, lifted into it..fish on, felt like a snag at first then felt like whatever it was had came off...then it made a dive, my axellerator even had a decent bend in it ! managed to land it over the rocks...nice 5lb 8oz pollock...

Few wrasse and small coalie after that so we all headed back across to the other side where it seemed to have gone quiet with only the float doing any damage with only small fish...

Heaviest fish went to me with the pollock
had a great day with good crack and plenty sport...wont mention Hunters blank
That's my last trip away this year, local marks through the winter but shows these places arent just summer marks, plenty decent fish to be had all year.
