Thanks for the post Jim. I\'m pleased you and Steve enjoyed the day.
On the Thursday the weather was, if anything, worse. Rod and I went down the grassy bank we passed on our way back to the bus, remember?

We ended up with 11 fish, all returned, best 6lb.
Shame we didn\'t decide to give it a go on the way past Jim. It\'s abit of a pig in the rain mind, long way to slide on your a**e. I have brought my mam down home and am coming back up on Wednesday so Rod and I might get a chance on the Thursday, if anyone\'s around.

Some cracking pics there David. Pleased the fish decided to come out to play for you and Rod. Looking at the first picture it doesn\'t look half as steep as it does from the top lol. If I had gone down there I don\'t think I would have got back out lmao.

Jim.

some nice fish there David.i must admit i really liked the look of that mark when rod pointed it out. supposed to be fitting a kitchen on thursday but if theres any probs with the delivery on that day i will manage down.

Only going if the weather\'s OK. Will let you know in advance Gordon. The sea was massive yesterday morning when we left. If we hadn\'t been on holiday we wouldn\'t have got out of the car it was that uninviting on the Thursday. Funny how it works out.

Them RED COD look and are smashers
would love to fish a mark like that
being from leeds fishing marks are hard to find so we just hit the more used maks.
its good to see a angler that puts some back for the next time well done mate

cracking post and cracking fish! Its good to see the old Scarborough reel still doing the business I havnt seen one in use since I was a nipper when the late Davey Higgins used one.

Got to agree Rich. Long time since I saw a Scarborough in use and it was good to watch. Gave me a few thoughts on rock fishing I will tell you.
David I have got to say there are some VERY good pictures on this thread also. Obviously more photogenic than you thought mate lol.

Jim.

Rich, the late Davy Higgins features in the book, although he wasn\'t a great rock angler, prefering the beach or pier. Using the scarboro has a number of drawbacks but a number of advantages as well not least the fact, that came up in conversation over the Wednesday trip, that no-one had a shore caught double except me and I\'ve had a few. On the other hand I bet I\'ve lost a lot more tackle so it\'s horses for courses.
Jim, still think the fish are the stars lol

David i picked up the book friday morning and couldnt put it down till i finished it,a excellent read and very informative, also liked the reminising back to the times of your early learning from your dad.
shouldnt have a problem selling them m8.
thanks again for the signed copy and the CODLING CROUCH hat :D

Still waiting for the proof copy to arrive. Shouldn\'t be long after that until I can sell a few copies here and there. I can assure you that NESA boys will be looked after.
