ive been up eyemouth and abbs area bout 6-7 times in the last month and the spinning has been the best ive ever had. makreale seem to have thinned out abit but the Pollock are fantastic. i was fishing sunday gone with a good sea on rougher by far than you would like and a really big tide and it was possibly better than when its calm. seemed to bring the fish in where you wouldnt think they would be. hooking up many times and watching fish go for and miss as the spinner as it was pulled out of the water. two 5 1/5 pounders and a beast lost by my pall. the makie also showed up making me think more the rougher the better to some degree. this seems to make the pray fish come out of the nooks and cranny's and bring the predators in to feed on em. in the same weather conditions i watched a guy n gal in 2 hours pull about 80 makie in about 1 1/2 months ago. #
lots of good sport to be had spinning over the weed beds deeper the better in my opinion.
