going to eyemouth tomorrow to fish for first time need advice. what bait ,and best bits to fish. am complete novice. no mickey taking. I want to learn.

no use asking me unless you wanna learn to cast backwards,as for baits im trying a bit of everything from squid crab maccy to artificial lures, both my catches whiting(small ones) have been to squid,but your in the right place for advice

Hi mate and welcome,a bit to far north for me mate,but as far as bait goes i would imagine fresh or frozen peeler crab if you are bottom fishing or try float fishing with mackerel strip or rag worm for Pollock or Wrasse and Mackerel.Keep looking in theres a few fish up there,but bare in mind it can get quiet on here during popular holiday times etc so it could take a couple of days or so.
We have a laugh on here at times but theres no mickey taking if you are new to fishing and advice is always available

You\'ll find that just about everybody on NESA will try to help out novices (is that the right plural for novice ?) - after all....we\'ve ALL been there (some of us are STILL there....lol).

As far as the mickey-taking goes, usually that only starts if the original poster starts to laugh at himself over something he has done or said.

Think I\'ll start a topic on \"The Stupidest Things I\'ve Done When Fishing\"......... could be a long running topic, that one.....lol.

Re. fishing at Eyemouth........I doubt if you could have any better offer of advice than that from Mr. Storey
