I think the worst thing that occurred was the posting of Mikes original E mail. Bad enough stealing his photo\'s but publishing a private mesasage containing someones full name, nah not on mate. Before you have a go, no I have not looked to see if his full name is on Photo Recce as that is not the point. I would certainly think twice about sending an E mail or private message to someone that was going to put it up for all to see. Obviously Alan did not know about this at the time.
Some people don\'t care though they will post anything and fend off the criticism later when it is far too late.
I think the moral of this story would be to get permission for posting both pictures and links before posting them. At least that way you would not be made to look a bit of a pratt.
I would not have posted this on here as it had nothing to do with this site, untill you made your last post on this thread.
Personally I would have kept quiet and not let anyone know that it was me that had screwed up so badly.
As far as Alan being a bad egg that is another thing you have got wrong. You don\'t even know the man.

As you can probably see I am not one to hide away Jim. I post up what I think and read the responses of others . I would not have posted at all in here if I hadnt read the bit about being tied up. If I feel I have got things wrong I will say, If I feel I havent I will defend myself, I have no fear of screwing up or looking like a pratt - Such is life is my Philosophy m8 and everyone at one time or another makes those mistakes - yourself included no doubt.. We learn something from everything we do every day of every year.
As I said to davey at the time, I was wrong to borrow his picture and should have asked his permission. My displeasure was more at the tone of the email rather than what it was actaually saying which was actually right I had taken the pictures without asking, and I will take my own of the same shop and post it up in place of his. My lack of understanding of Davey came from the fact We both had the same goal in mind and that was to promote sea fishing and help out fellow anglers and at the end of the day that must not be forgot. At the moment silly posts about tieing people up in toilets ceratinly is not helping anyone angler or not.

Well I\'m glad things seem to have been sorted out.
Reading through the topic, there seems to have been a fair bit of editing going on so I can\'t comment on everything which has been said.
However, I will make few comments on what I\'ve read:
1. Permission to use any material from a website for use on another site must be obtained from those who hold the copyright of that material - be it photographs or text. NESA has a clear policy on this and I dare say most (if not all) other sites do, too. This is a quote from NESAs\' Terms and Conditions:
\"......However, reproduction of part or all of the contents in any form is prohibited unless for personal use. None of the content of this web site may be copied or otherwise incorporated into or stored in any other web site, electronic retrieval system, publication or other work in any form (whether hard copy, electronic or other) without permission.\"
@Spring@, I will be checking to see if there have been any infringements of the above - if you\'ve used anything from NESA on your site, I suggest you remove it.
2. Posting the contents of private communications (be it in extract or in full) on a public forum, without the authors\' prior consent is a definite no-no.
3. @Spring@ - the \"middle toilets\" referred to, are the subject of a long running leg pull on NESA. Being a new member you wouldn\'t have known this - you do now, though.

Just when you think things have gone quiet.
I checked my site and cant see anything off here. There is 1 picture that does appear on here somewhere but that was taken from another site with that site and boat owners consent.. If there is an isse with it you\'ll have to let me know.
