Felt soles

Just a word of warning to anyone who has felt soles on there waders.
After a fruitless days fishing on Thursday, as i climbed out of the river to go home i slipped on some mud and took a heeder forward up the bank.
Not wanting to damage my rod in my left hand i took the brunt of the fall with my right.
I now have a plaster cast on my arm as i have damaged a ligament in my wrist.
No fishing,or even fly tying for at least 3 weeks.:(
These soles are good for wading but even with studs in them i had no grip in soft mud.
They can also be dodgy on wet grass, so watch what you are doing....

Unlucky on the slip mate and hope you recover quickly. I'm a shoe repairer and I'm always asked for non slip soles for ice( well there just isn't a solution to stop you slipping on ice as is the same for mud just have to be careful and watch your step.
Again hope you recover soon

Tough break, if you'll pardon the pun mate, but I've found that it doesn't matter what you wear on mud, if your gonna go, nowt will hold you. Get fixed soon.

sorry to here you slipped and hurt yourself Dave mate, not be too long before you are back with the rod in ya hand.
