Tell me this if you can :)

What was your first Fishing Rod?

What was the first thing you caught on it and where was it caught?

What happened to it+ where is it?

Mine was a Masterline C-Catcher 9ft Peir Rod.

First fish was a 38cm coalfish from blyth jetties.

It got broke while in northwest scotland, near shegra beach. And now lives in my fishing cupboard with loads of other rods that need rebuilding. :)

mine was a milbro something or other:)

first fash would have been brown trout:)

on a river on rannoch moor:)

the fash would have been eaten, either by my family or one of the 14 dogs:)

the rod:question: god only knows:exclam: probably snapped and burnt:(

I bought an old Diawa rod and fixed spool from a lad at work , my father in law took me down to the Royal Quays to show me how to go on.

My first fish was a tiny whiting but I was the biggest thing hooked that day.

First fish for me was a gudgeon, caught five that day at killy lake on an old fly rod that the old man had shortened for me by slamming his boot lid on it.

My first rod was a mitchell contender 12ft with a intrepend 90 fixed spool and my first fish was off roker was a double shot of whitting one was 2lb and then on I was hooked. :D

My first rod was some sort of solid fibreglass, green spinning rod from Temples in Whitley Bay (must have been all of about 6 or 7 years old) & first fish was probably some sort of sprat or tiny coalie caught from Blyth harbour.

Early teens, my first beach rod was an 11ft fibreglass yellow Temples rod, with cork handle & big chrome reel seat paired with a Mitchell 602ap multiplier (as recommend by John Holden in Sea Angler lol!) - got my first codling on that from Whitley beach. I can't remember the specifics, but in those days I lived a couple of minutes walk from North Skeer & would just walk down and fish when I could somewhere along the beach.

When I got into club fishing, got my first "proper" rod (again from Temples), a fibreglass Conoflex DC6, 13ft 6ins with 5ft of dural butt & an Abu 12 multi for use with heavy line. From there the addiction set in........
