Went and had an hour out today, horrible NE wind with a canny swell.
Tried a couple of wrecks to no avail as the drift was over 2 knts ,
One boat did have the first macky about a mile offshore, caught by a lady
on her first ever trip.
Forecast for rest of week looks terrible so looks like a bit of graft.:red::red:

Well i had wrote last weekend off but we ended up getting out and doing some distance, this weekend once again looks a write off but will make that call late on Friday.

We seem to be getting a run of east winds at the moment.

gusting to 18mph NE is what i am seeing..i wont be out in a 22ft boat ha....lots of time for it to change but the sea is raging at the moment.

What forecast site you checking mate. Im only on the met office. Not sure how good that is. It says west north west 6mph from 5am sat morning to 1pm sat afternoon. Hope its wright ha

None are great and as Paul says the best check is the head out the window the night before.

I use a few sites and get a rough idea, in my opinion the worst weather site known to man is that Magic Sea weed, cant say i have ever known it right in 8 years.

Are you sure your on the right met office page a is have just checked and showing ENE next three days with winds upto 18mph.
