Hello Lads,
I've never been shore fishing for over 18 months....I just couldn't manage it last year as I spent a lot of time with my dear old Mother who sadly passed away earlier this year.
I have been quite wrapped up in my fly fishing too....probably just being lazy as I don't have to worry about bait or tides.
Anyway, with December on it's way I thought I'd better get my finger out and make some sort of an effort. With the tides being small and not much of a sea on the river Tyne seemed my best bet.
My old mate Lew joined me and I really enjoyed my evening out fishing, it was great to be back out. Nothing special to report, lots of small codling kept us busy but I did manage a couple of canny fish to make things worth while.
I had a good laugh at Lew's new "Captain Birdseye" wellys, he's as daft as a ship's cat but a great friend, he does really well as he's getting on a bit now at 78.
Here's a few photos I thought I'd share.

Thanks for looking, Regards Ian.
