Dont know what it is with me but once the sea gets up everything else becomes secondary,i have been fishing every day since midweek, can just remember what the family looks like, started off at shields pier caught a couple of flatties off the blocks and then fished off the end and managed a small codling about a 1lb,fished Roker pier before it was closed nice swell looked fishy, managed a couple of codling 1lb--1.5lb,guy next to me also had a couple one maybe 2lb and from what i heard there were more fish up river.Saturday took the boy up to Lynburn beach to the right of the alcan station, sea was ideal dying sea with a lot of colour, never got a touch all day, still we had a canny day, also many thanks to the local guy who took some time out from walking his dogs to give my son some casting lessons as he has switched to using his reel at the bottom of his rod,i think he was a nesa member, the boy was over the moon.
All in all an expensive week fishing lost some gear, spent some money, met some people, learnt some stuff, caught some fish, thats what its all about!!!
