Fishing sea houses for first time

Anyone got any good tips or spots to fish up sea houses going tomorrow for the fist time

Behind the piers to the right hand side is where i usually fish, theres like a pillbox or concrete block there. Fish just past that.

Just belt it into the kelp, be prepared to lose quite a bit gear

Fished it for the first time on Saturday mate, had the grandson with me so just had an hour at it. I fished off of the rocks just past the pillar box thing at low water, if you cast a bit out south off these rocks it's cleanish ground but there's kelp to pull through, never really had time to fish it properly like but I reckon it looks canny. You can get there by just walking down the harbour and around the harbour sands.

Was In it matey, when I said cleanish ground I meant no rocks etc.

you need to be using fresh peeler crab cotton it on, fish in the gullys right of the pier nice cod if you get them out

the "pill box" your on about is the POWDER HOUSE, Known locally as the pooda hoose, it's where they used to store the blasting powder when they were building the pier, fish directly in front of it and cast into the kelp
I've had some good cod from there around the 3-5lb mark when I used to fish the summer league and think it's the best shot is seahouses imo

Seen some cracking wrasse to the left of it, just to the right of the pier

Seen some good cod come from directly infront of it aswell

Cant wait to get up in a few weeks
