hi lads and lassies gona take my nephue fishing on saturday at sunderland was thinking of the river area any sugestions what spots to try never fished up there but heard canny reports

try south hylton mate,plenty of flattys and eels on peeler crab,might be to much flood water ,or under the town bridge,,,

Try in front of the glass centre...Nice and comfortable, not far from the car, usually lots of whiting, flounders and the odd codling.

The Rat house is always worth a go, although often a bit busy. Take a rod rest and fish the other side of the railings for a bit more space or walk past the corner into the marina bit. Front of the Glass Centre is a nice comfortable shot as well. If you're fishing the Rat house after 10:00pm don't leave your car in the car park (it shuts at 10:00)
