sorry if this has been posted before ,but i have just been cutting the trace & hoping for the best . does anyone use this method & is it easy to use / make the tool YouTube - unhooking a flatfish

sorry i ment to say when the fish has swallowed the hook ie most of the times i have caught flattys ( you know that "the hook will rust away & the fish will spit it out after a couple of days type stuff ???)

Looks like a good method, I couldn't quite work out how it's done but would be good if someone showed me how to do it.

if its deep hooked i cut snood and carefully pull the hook back threw the gills leaving no harm done

im using little hooks with the barbs scwatched with pliers and trying to remove the hook with foreceps but when there deep down i dont really like to muck around to much and for to long , trouble is ive read flattys swallow the bait and then dont move for a while , thats maybee why i have been missing bites ? , a session i had recently using a 2 hook flapper i caught a flatty that taken both baits /hooks !! . i really want to return all fish not for the pot unharmed with the best chance of them living if poss
