Listen mate there is no ban on sheilds peir its a public pier and as for you saying you can come as close as you want this isn't the case I too also used to own a boat just because you have a boat it doesnt mean you own the sea and can do as you please also 18lb mono isn't going to cost a new prop

Owning a boat doesn't mean you own the sea, just the same as owning a fishing rod doesn't mean you own it either.
It sounds to me like a bit of bad luck, as they say "**** happens".

Read the sign on the gates mate, 18lb mono won't do anything but what about 6oz gripper and the beach caster attached to the other end??????

To save your prop simply dont manouvre your boat where the lad has his gear in the water its common sense really
Have respect for other users of the sea
You wouldnt start a drift iver a wreck infront of somebody thats already over it

Well said I could easy go down with 60lb line straight through and a 7 oz lead casting at every boat that comes past but I don't as its personal property that people have to save up for etc its all about common sense

I know how to use my boat matey, I steer clear of anglers but sometimes it's unavoidable with other boats about or debris in the water, no ones having a go at anyone for losing there rod
