foaming

unlucky mate :mad:nigel said he tried to help you by catching it back for you , hopefully someone will wind it in and let you know fingers crossed ,its just a lot of money to replace it :(good luck mate

Hope someone drags it in for you Dean.

When will theses daft buggers learn, jetskiers aswell. If they catch a line or two by cutting in too close what are they going to do if the line, instead of catching on the boat/jetski, actually catches them across some part of the body. Its sure as hell going to cut deep, potentially cut their throat open if catches across their neck.

i hope it turns up for you dean good chance it may ,horrible thing to happen .

this is one of the reasons i dislike pier fishing, shields pier probaly holds the best fishing in the north east it would be easy for people to say you should of kept a look out but things dont always work out that way .

hoping it arrives to you soon dean.

Tell him thanks for trying other lads just kept fishing there was only him and my mate trying to fish it out and a young lad around 12 offered me his spinning rod to try and fish it out there is some good lads out there Think the most annoying thing is if I casted out and hit the bloke by accident I would probs be in the cop shop but when a rod gets dragged over nowt is done when I rang port of tyne 2 min after it going over he asked if I had permission to fish the pier then he said they can't do anything as its a inftable rib not a boat what a joke

aye theres nowt you can do is there , i know off a few lads who have lost there gear of there by boats and jet skiers , harry elliot lost his a few weeks ago and managed to fish it back out and has made a clamp to stop him losing it again ,20 quid well spent i think

What a disaster. And the guy in the boat must be a right plonker to be so close to the pier!
I fish the north drum at seaham a bit, and the pilot skipper passes close to the drum on purpose I think!
I hope someone pulls your gear out for you mate!

should kept eye on rod these things hapen when ur not whaching ur rod

Not being funny mate but when you are match fishing you can't keep an eye on your rod 24/7 or pleasure fishing for example what if someone asks the time do you ignore them and watch your rod or be polite and look at your watch I have been fishing for over 15yrs now and its the first time it has happened to me if you are fishing shields drum you can not see what's below you as the wall is too high

Sorry to hear that deano lad i hope someone off here pulls it out the drink for ya mate. As for idiots saying he shoulda been watching his rod i really hope this happens to you when ya caught off guard. What a stupid and insensitive thing to say !!!

Foaming.

Foaming.

I feel gutted for you m8 as that is a lot of gear to lose just like that and its a pity you could/nt get hold of the bloke that dragged your rod and reel into the drink but you do see a lot of idiots coming in close to where they should/nt be but never mind m8 i would/nt pack in fishing for the likes of him as its probably your favourite past time but it proved very costly for you so like i say just put your best foot forward and your head up high and grin and bear it as there is nothing you can do about it now. commiserations m8.:mad::mad::mad:

deano m8, do you have enough gear to carry on, av got a spare slo30sh ,your very welcome to lend it until your sorted m8.

Lucky enough I mate I have a spare mag and e-1000 that I got for norway but thank you very much for your kind offer just goes to show there is some cracking lads on here

sorry to hear about you losing your gear mate hope some one pulls it in for you fingers crossed you never know and as for watching you rod 24/7 a think we are all guilty of taking eye off now and then when busy.
cheers pop65
