Decided to give Foxton a shot before heading up to Craster, there was 3 of us. We didn't see anything at Foxton, quite a sea running but managable.
Got o Craster just after low water and had a couple and lost one in the first 2 hours....thought we were gonna be okay but as the tide got up so did the sea, then started losing gear I would say I had a 50% rate of getting me gear back. The fish came on lug/mussel cocktais.
I saw one or 2 people giving the piers a try but it looked bad up there. It was heavy going and by 7pm we'd had enough ....didn't half sleep last night!
Cheers for the info on a previous thread....I'll be trying again when the weather drops off a bit.
