Just checked out the forecast on magicseaweed for next sundays comp, forecast is for easterlies, northerlies and other naff directions for boat fishing(i think!).

how many times in the last two weeks has the forecast been right. Was watching it the other morning, local weather which comes from Newcastle, they said at that moment there was strong winds and rain, looking out the window all i could see was sun and no wind.

you'll feel the full force of my wind affects one of these days, and it wont be pretty.

Anyroad farts weren't invented until the early 17th century (Paris I believe - a hairy armed crone squeezed one out in front of a well known chronicler)

Did you lads not just joust to release trapped wind, and each others heads etc.?

Yeah Jamie, Keith, it looks ok there is a constant low pressure and we`re in the middle of it so should be alright ,......... tides ok as well with high about 1.00pm ish. although its a very small one at just 3.9mtrs

bring on the fishing ............. charlie, mark, are yous setting out today for the comp? looks like you`ll need to be out at least the day before or you`ll miss the start....... meet yous sunday at RQ :)

plan thus far, failing anymore disasters is get out on saturday and leave her out for sunday, probably means we'll not get back into st petes till monday though.

Aye mark, the tides against you for in and out times. Mind you it`s a small tide, will that help ? or hinder?

not sure! we're big so its only the top couple of hours that is guaranteed anyway to get over the cill. although one thing that will help is with it being a smaller tide it'll be easier to get across it back in. its a real nightmare that one, she doesn't do quick maneuvers so being nearly 50foot, 30ton and long keeled, the current likes to shove her side ways as you turn in. we've only a couple of foot clearance either side of the entrance as well. ok if you wait till slack water at high tide but with any movement it gets quite interesting trying to line her. Just need to get some practice in I guess.

Christ alone nows how quadrini got that thing of his in there (his gin palace that used to be tied alongside the tuxedo) 120foot long at least, and apparently they had less than 6" clearance either side of the entrance
