With our production of Grease on at the end of the month we decided during the summer to give our usual October week a miss after four straight years down your way.
However as the October date drew closer and the caravan deals got cheaper we could resist no longer and booked up a sneaky 4 night stay starting on the 14th. We were both really looking forward to a few days in the North East and decided to wait and see what the weather would be like before booking any boats, so as not to tempt fate!
I got the fishing gear organised, did the packing and booked a nice restaurant for a special night out, as Lynn has not been feeling her best the last couple of weeks. Anyway she went to the doctor yesterday and has to go for a wee operation next week, so no holiday for us.
Nothing too serious but she will be out of commission for a while, as "rest" is the instructions after the op. She will also not be able to do our show, so I now need a Musical Director to replace her for the last fortnight of rehearsals and show! Not the real issue of course but an annoyance none the less.
Anyway if anyone wants a free 4 nights at Crimdon Dene Caravan Park PM me and I will give you the details. Starts Monday for four nights. All paid including power etc. Last minute I know, but we only found out the bad news yesterday and it seems daft to waste the caravan.
A bit of a depressing air in our house today. Give me a PM if you are interested, but be aware that the weather forecast is the usual when we come down there..................ie crap!!
