Frenchmans recon 7/10/12

Had a walk down frenchmans today for a look at the damage.
From the ledge its the same as I remember, with the big rock resting up against the front of the point.

However the left side of the point is crumbling away and should not be approached.

To sum up, it looks like we are going to have a substantial fall here sooner or later, and I don't know how far undercut the point is.
I hope someone finds this post useful.
 
seas forecasted for next week could bring that down, especially if we have a couple of frosts or heavy rain

If you look at photo 2, (taken from the left hand side looking toward the end of the point)
You can clearly see its ready to go. The whole point is just a jumble of boulders stuck together with mud anyway.
And that side is where you go for the lift when you have a decent fish on.
Massive shame! :(
 
good pics it was me who posted a few weeks ago that it looked likely to collapse soon im glad no one was on it when it came down
