try putting in frezeer fro15 --20 mins should make it a tad easier as it partially open s emI have just bought a bag of fresh muscles from the super market for a session tomorrow.
Before I attack the closed shells with a knife could anyone tell me is there a easy way/ technique to removing them?

i just use a tea spoon m8,
i filed down 1 edge of the handle 2 make a blunt knife then filed down 1 edge of the spoon 2 put a edge on it 2 scoop out the mussel.
i use fresh mussel 4 all my matches so i go through alot of it & the spoon works a treat.
