Frozen blacks

Big blacks are like hens teeth lads but the smaller gingers and yellows are killer bait too done some damage over the years with these;)

i know off topic here a little but the blow lug from the gare tipped off wth razor takes some beating also.

a weekley supply of these would do me fine.

but fishing seaham south pier cart mixed wth musscle even better. just my opion of course.

first time i went up berwick trying to find the blacks i went inside the pier, after a while decided to have a look around as they werent obviously there.

we walked to seaward side of pier and seen quite a few digging time at this time was passing away for best digging.

walking down towards the waters edge i spotted some of my seaham pals who were digging.

the lads i knew were dick shenton/gorden carr/eddie talbot/stan talbot/richie shenton/brian hueghs as well i think.

to be honest my eyes nearly popped out wth the amount of blacks they had incredible is an understatement i can still picture sight of the brimming full bucket of blacks and i mean full big buckets.

mind you these lads seem good at most things great anglers good lads.

wish yous lot,{not all of yous } would grow up.IMO,again for what its worth, fished 1 night back marsden rock,KING RAGWORM, not a bite in 2 hours, lads fishing s/s winter league, moved into 1st bay 100yds behind me.what happens 6 casts between them {3 of them} 5 yes 5 fish between them up to 7lb. on frozen blacks OPENED MY EYES..rant over.ps,so again IMO,bloody good winter bait.
Funny because marsden is where i had best results with frozen lug , nothing big mind you but 3 size cod in half hour on turn of tide . Defiantly with you on this one reg

Best bait out there IMO fresh or frozen, had a lot of fish on it ove the winter months, my freezer is always full of them for the winter, work very well tipped with clam/crab or razor.

suprised gary p has,nt got you on this 1 big lad BLACK & WHITES LOL mr pye does well with the combo at range

blacks

blacks

i have had just as many fish with frozen as fresh as long as they are not old and dead blacks that have been frozen

I've had more codling out the tyne on blacks than fresh peeler. Top cod bait when prepared right, excellent dab/flounder bait when they go sticky.

Used one of my packs of frozen blacks on the pier today which accounted for 7-8 fish compared to one each for rag and crab.... Guess that says it all lol
