Getting of pier

Hi Lads, want to fish the pier, probably this weekend. I believe the gates are locked at 6pm, I know lads fish after gate is locked so how do you get back of, is there a route I don't know about.

Climb the wall on the seaward side, its easy, stick your rod through the gate 1st

since were on the subject wats the crack ive been on shields pier tuns ov times wen the bloke asks u do u wana stop on coz hes locking the gate. so wats the crack on the north pier if u get gaught on that wat wud they do? or is it the same you go on at ya own risk . if sum one can shed sum light on this id be greatfull

as the lad said he wants to know how to get off when the gates are locked if it was illegal surely the person who locks the gate would have to remove people from the pier before he locks the gate have fished the place many times you have to scale around the side of the gate on the seaward side
