My wife bought me one she found in some car boot sale.
Advice to tie your bait on with wool, red workks best it seems.
Cast it out at low tide and leave it while you walk back as tide comes in so it stays in deep water.
Few "tips" like that and they make fun reading.
How things change

aye mate always on the lookout for quircky books like that:)
like them with a bit of humour and sense to it not all this DO THIS DO THAT codswallop!!:D:D

"The Compleat Angler" by Isaak Walton...

Written over 300 years ago and full of useful advice about to spit-roast a freshly caught tench or tickle minnows. Right laugh.:)

Also good: "Darwin's Bass: The Evolutionary Psychology of Fishing Man" by Paul Quinnett....

Beats reading the repetitive, tackle-tartery of Sea Angler magazine every month:)
